Page 3 of 13 <br />4.1.5. Trail Improvements: all costs prorated based on trail centerline within <br />each jurisdiction (49% Vadnais Heights and 51% Little Canada). This <br />includes all incidental costs to the construction of the trail (stormwater <br />management infrastructure, easement costs, permitting costs, wetland <br />mitigation, etc.). <br /> <br />4.2. A list of the construction pay items and percentages for both cities funding <br />responsibilities as well as the total estimated cost for each City cost is attached <br />as Exhibit A. Cost Participation is Based on the Engineer’s Estimate. Quantities <br />and unit prices in Exhibit A are estimates. Actual costs shall be based on the <br />contract unit prices and the quantities constructed. <br /> <br />The costs in the Prorated Items calculation will be based on contract unit prices <br />and quantities at the time of contract award. No adjustments in the percentages <br />will be made if unit prices or quantities vary during constructio n. <br /> <br />4.3. Design Engineering Costs <br /> <br />4.3.1. The City of Vadnais Heights shall pay the City of Little Canada a design <br />engineering fee equal to no more than 1 0% of identified City of Vadnais <br />Heights project items as detailed in Exhibit A. <br /> <br />4.3.2. Design engineering fees shall be calculated based on the quantities and <br />unit prices at the time of contract award. <br /> <br />4.4. Construction Engineering Costs <br /> <br />4.4.1. The City of Vadnais Heights shall pay the City of Little Canada a <br />construction engineering fee equal to no more than 1 0% of identified City <br />of Vadnais Heights project items as detailed in Exhibit A. <br /> <br />4.4.2. Construction engineering and administration fees shall be calculated <br />based on the final contract quantities and unit prices. <br /> <br />4.4.3. The City of Vadnais Heights shall pay the City of Little Canada a <br />prorated share of non-engineering indirect costs (geotechnical <br />testing, materials testing, special benefit analysis, etc.). <br /> <br />5. Payment Schedule <br /> <br />5.1. Design engineering will be invoiced at the time of contract award. <br /> <br />5.2. The City of Little Canada will invoice the City of Vadnais Heights for <br />construction costs incurred on a monthly basis or as determined by the <br />payment schedule for the contractor. <br /> <br />5.3. The City of Little Canada will invoice the City of Vadnais Heights for <br />construction engineering incurred on a monthly basis.
