New Graphic Links
REDESIGN
The committee met and discussed potential changes to enhance the design of the website. The
committee wanted to lighten up the new website design to make it appear more open and friendly
and spread out information (like the News Flash, Calendar, and Pop Up Information). Utilizing
inspiration from other websites and in-house expertise, the committee opted for a clean look with
fun accents (like the maple leaf, fleur-de-lis, and the LC logo color) throughout the site. Accent
colors were pulled from the Little Canada logo, and pictures that staff submitted. Overall, the
design updates offer a refreshing take on our City.
Through discussions with other departments and analytical review, the committee also updated
the graphic link icons to hopefully enhance the user experience and make commonly looked-at
items front and center.

The comments were sent to the CivicPlus art department and a new design concept was created.
After a few different design renditions with minor changes in fonts, coloring, and background
designs, the committee is close to approving the final design (there are a few minor adjustments
being made). The design approval deadline is January 27, 2023. Attached is a current redesign
concept for the City’s homepage.

NEXT STEPS
PHASE 1: INITIATE
• Project Kickoff Meeting
o Review deliverables, outline process, assign action items, and project timeline created
(3-5 weeks)
PHASE 2: ANALYZE
• Design Discovery & Deliverables
o Discuss design preferences and vision (8-10 weeks)
PHASE 3: DESIGN & CONFIGURE
• Design Concept Development & Configuration Preview
o Design is creted, reviewed, and approved in JPG format, and approved design concept is set up
within the live website for review (10-12 weeks)
PHASE 4: OPTIMIZE
• Design Configuration Review & Approval
o Final approval for design submitted (1-2 weeks
PHASE 5: LAUNCH
• Website Launch
o Approved design applied to live website; content quality completed (2-4 weeks)

We are currently in the middle of Phase 3 which has the new website on track for going live in
approximately two to three months.
