CITY OF LITTLE CANADA <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE APPLICATION AND EXECUTION OF THE <br />METROPOLITAN COUNCIL ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICE’S 2020 MUNICIPAL <br />INFILTRATION AND INFLOW (I&I) GRANT PROGRAM <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Little Canada is the official governing body of the <br />City of Little Canada; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Minnesota State Legislature has appropriated $4,156,800 in general <br />obligation bond funds for grants to municipalities to reduce inflow and infiltration (I&I) in their public <br />system infrastructure, administered by Metropolitan Council Environmental Services (MCES); <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Little Canada’s application to participate in the MCES 2020 Municipal <br />Grant Program (Grant Program) was made in March 2021, for reimbursement of a percentage of <br />costs for manhole sealing projects; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Grant Agreement between the Metropolitan Council and the City of Little Canada <br />will be drafted by MCES and submitted to the City for review and approval once the actual final <br />reimbursement amount is determined; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Little Canada has completed $234,678 of work eligible for partial reimbursement <br />funding, and desires to enter into Grant Agreement to finalize the reimbursement process. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE <br />CANADA, MINNESOTA, THAT; <br /> <br />1. The City Council hereby authorizes application for MCES 2020 Municipal Inflow & Infiltration <br />Grant Program. <br /> <br />2.
