A Conditional Use Permit is required for this application, as CVS <br />is a part of PUD which includes a strip retail center and an oil change facility. The <br />applicant is also seeking variances from the Sign Ordinance allowances for total sign <br />area and for the number and location of freestanding signs on the property. Finally, the <br />applicant is seeking approval to exceed the number of informational/directional signs on <br />the site over the allowed four such signs -the sing plan shows a total of fourteen <br />informational/directional signs. The Sign Ordinance regulations governing these signs <br />permits the City Council to approve more than four where considered appropriate for the <br />site. <br />Allowable Signaqe. The Signage regulations permit the following number and size of <br />signs for CVS: <br />One wall sign per frontage (total of 2), and one freestanding sign. <br />Total site signage equal to 15% of building wall fagade - 844 square feet (as <br />calculated by applicant) <br />One freestanding sign of 155 square feet in area, 20 feet in height, plus one <br />additional freestanding sign on the second frontage which may be up to 200 <br />square feet and 24 feet in height if applied over both of the retail buildings in <br />combination. <br />Proposed Signaqe: The following signs are proposed: <br />
