<br />RE:Twin Lake Boulevard – Award Construction Contract
<br />ACTION TO BE CONSIDERED:
<br />Motion to award the Twin Lake Boulevard Improvement Project to OMG Midwest Inc. in the
<br />amount of $1,618,064.22.
<br />BACKGROUND:
<br />The Twin Lake Boulevard Improvement Project was advertised in February and bids were
<br />opened on March 7, 2023. A total of nine bids were received for the project. The low bidder for
<br />the project was OMG Midwest, Inc. with a total Base Bid + Alternate Bid of $1,618,064.22. The
<br />project’s Base Bid utilized concrete for the trail and the Alternate Bid included a price reduction
<br />for utilizing bituminous asphalt for the trail. The bid was set up this way in order to satisfy MN
<br />State Aid approval requirements and staff is recommending the Alternate Bid for asphalt.
