At this time, staff is not recommending any changes to the project scope <br />or funding. Once bids are received for the Site Improvements, staff will also have formal quotes <br />for the site amenities and professional services. Then, a final tabulation of costs and funding can <br />be shared with the City Council. At that time, Staff will make any necessary scope or funding <br />recommendations to the City Council before contracts are awarded and materials are ordered. <br />SOURCE OF FUNDS <br />Park improvements will be funded through the City’s Capital Improvement Plan Fund (Fund <br />400), the 10% Fund (Fund 408), American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds, MnDNR grant, and a <br />donation from the Little Canada Recreation Association (LCRA). Staff will continue to make <br />efforts to find additional donations that would reduce utilizing City funds. \ <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br />The Parks & Recreation Commission is advised to discuss the playground options and provide a <br />recommendation of their top two or three options to the City Council. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />Playground Concept Designs and Information
