We look forward to continuing to increase our Farmers Market visitors by providing different <br />payment options for our residents. <br />We are looking forward to more varieties of produce growing as we continue the season and <br />hope to see more residents in attendance! <br />Upcoming Activities <br />-Defensive Drivers: Defensive Drivers Refresher Courses will take place on October 16 & <br />17, and a full course on October 23 & 24. These courses are intended to improve driving <br />skills and provide participants with a discount on their auto insurance. <br />-Master Gardener Class: These virtual classes are typically held on the first Tuesday of <br />the month. Upcoming class topics are: <br />o July 25 – Herb Gardening <br />o August 22 – Food Saving <br />-Upcoming Adult Trips: The Little Canada Parks & Recreation Department is excited to <br />offer our residents the opportunity for adult trips throughout the year. Learn valuable tools in awareness, situational safety, and <br />protection in this training session. This workshop is specifically designed to help <br />women learn how to stay safe in potentially dangerous situations and defend <br />themselves against various types of attacks. <br />Upcoming Youth Activities <br />-Fall Activities: Registration for most youth activities opened July 1. Those activities <br />include volleyball, gymnastics, and a soccer clinic. We are also introducing RevSports to <br />our lineup with activities including soccer, flag football, and Ninja Warrior Fitness! <br />-Wildlife Walk: Due to the popularity of our spring Wildlife Walk we have added another <br />fall class! Join us at Spooner Park while Carpenter Nature Center staff shows kids the <br />different sights and sounds of wildlife. After a hike, kids will be able to meet some of the <br />Nature Center’s native animals.
