Section 2
SUMMARY PUBLICATION. Pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section 412.191, in the
case of a lengthy ordinance, a summary may be published. While a copy of the entire
ordinance is available without cost at the office of the City Clerk, the fbflowing summary
is approved by the City Council and shall be published in lieu of publishing the entire
ordinance:
The purpose of this ordinance is to establish a standard procedure for
consideration of license suspension and revocation. It provides that the City
Council may suspend and revoke a license only after giving 20 days' notice to
license holders of the allegations against the license. Failure to attend a properly
noticed hearing will result in the suspension or revocation of the license. A
second conviction for violating alicense-related City ordinance will also lead to
automatic revocation of a license. Nothing provided in the license procedure
prevents the criznina] prosecution of any City ordinance violation. The City
Council may set license fees from time to time by resolution. All Licenses must be
prominently posted on the licensed premises.
Section 3
)effective Date. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage
and publication.
ADOPTED by the City Council of Little Canada this day of
2009.
CITY OF LITTLE CANADA
BY:
William Blesener, Mayor
ATTEST:
BY:
Joel R.
