MINUTES <br />Parks & Recreation Commission <br />June 2, 1994 <br />Johnson recommended giving Sanders permission <br />with advertisement for bids for the Westwind <br />Park trails with the Pioneer Park loop to be <br />alternate. <br />Motion seconded by Magnuson. <br />Motion carried 5 - 0. <br />to proceed <br />and Pioneer <br />bid as an <br />FLOWER Sanders stated that two groups planted flowers in Pioneer <br />PLANTING Park -- the Girl Scouts and Little Canada Charity Plus. <br />Little Canada Charity Plus paid for the flowers. <br />Wehrle felt that a thank you letter should be sent by the <br />City Administrator to those organizations. Sanders also <br />stated that he appreciated the help that the Public Works <br />staff gave with preparation and weeding of the site. <br />Wehrle indicated that volunteers are needed to continue to <br />weed the site. Remerowski asked if the perennial flowers <br />could be mulched. Sanders indicated that they could be, but <br />they should fill in too. He stated that Public Works has <br />been asked to mulch the shrub areas. <br />ADJOURN Greger recommended that the meeting be adjourned. <br />Motion seconded by Wehrle. <br />Motion carried 5 - 0. <br />There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned <br />at 9:40 p.m. <br />Respec ully submitted, <br />a <br />' ~~,.~' <br />i VanSchoonhoven <br />-9- <br />
