MINUTES
Parks & Recreation Commission
October 6, 1994
ROSSEZ LOT The Director felt the Commission would not be interested
SPLIT in park land on Australian Avenue where Rossez' lot split is
located.
Johnson recommended accepting the park land dedication fee
in lieu of land for the Rossez subdivision.
Motion seconded by Magnuson.
Motion carried 5 - 0.
SCHLETTY The Director stated that all that is being done with the
LOT SPLIT Schletty lot split is taking a small section from one lot
and combining it with another lot to make a larger lot. The
Director indicated that the Commission has already handled
the park charge for Schletty's property. The Director did
not feel there would be a difference in the park charge that
was already agreed upon.
Mr. Fred Schletty stated that someone is buying a lot in his
addition. Schletty indicated that he is selling this person
6,000 square feet between the lot he is buying and a barrier
Schletty has in his driveway.
Schletty indicated that he has already donated the outlots,
pond, and the access at the end of the cul-de-sac to the
City. In addition, he has agreed to pay the City $300 per
lot for a park land dedication fee. Schletty would prefer
no more fees be involved.
Schletty commented that the parcel has MWCC and water
easements crossing it. Therefore, it is virtually useless
land. He stated that the gentleman that is buying the land
will be planting trees and landscaping the area. Schletty
stated that he did not want to keep maintaining the land.
Remerowski asked if this proposal was part of the original
development. Schletty stated that the 6,000 square feet is
currently in lot 3, block 2 which is the lot Schletty's home
is on. The proposal is to take the 6,000 square feet and
add it to lot 2, block 2 to make that parcel larger.
Schletty stated that he is going to vacate the six foot
easement that the City now has going down the lot and give
the six foot easement to the City that goes over another
easement that the MWCC has in the area.
Remerowski stated that he did not see a reason why
additional charges should be added for Schletty's proposal.
Remerowski asked if once the 6,000 feet is combined with lot
2, could that lot be split again. Schletty stated that it
could not given the size of the house to be constructed and
-2-
