MINUTES Parks & Recreation Commission October 6, 1994 not been approached, but anyone can use them. Johnson thought that the addition on to Little Canada Elementary School was to be used as a community center. The Director stated that initially it was. However, the classrooms were filled up so fast that there was very limited opportunity, if any, to utilize that portion of the building on a regular basis. The City does have use of the gymnasium, storage rooms, and locker rooms at the school. Remerowski asked if there is always someone there to supervise the building when activities are being held. The Director stated that the school does provide someone to supervise. Johnson asked about the possibility of having open basketball on Saturday afternoons at the school. The Director stated that it is possible. However, the gymnasium is used for basketball during the season on Saturdays until 4:00 p.m. The Director stated that there could be open basketball after school, later on Saturdays, or on Sundays, but he has not seen a demand for it. He stated that gym time is hard to find. 10$ FUND The Director stated that the City Administrator is looking COMMITTEE for a member of the Commission to serve on the 10~ Fund Committee. He indicated that it would probably only involve one afternoon of prioritizing items on the 10% list. Johnson stated that if no one else can, she could probably take off work to participate in the prioritization. Holm felt the same way. Remerowski stated that Johnson and Holm should work it out between themselves as to who will serve on the Committee. ADJOURN Johnson recommended that the meeting be adjourned.
