MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />AUGUST 4, 1994 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of <br />the Parks & Recreation Commission of the City of Little <br />Canada, Minnesota was held on the 4th day of August, 1994 in <br />the Council Chambers of the City Hall located at 515 East <br />Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Chairman Ken Wehrle chaired and called the meeting to order <br />at 7:33 p.m. and the following members of the Commission <br />were present at roll call: <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Mr. Ken Wehrle, Chair <br />Mr. Howard Remerowski <br />Ms. Karen Johnson <br />Ms. Berniece Magnuson <br />Mr. Tom Holm <br />MEMBERS ABSENT: Mr. Larry Hartmann <br />Mr. Jim Greger <br />ALSO PRESENT: Mr. Jim Morelan, Parks & Rec. Director <br />Ms. Kris VanSchoonhoven, Rec. Secretary <br />MINUTES Magnuson recommended that the minutes of the July 7, 1994 <br /> meeting be approved as read. <br /> Motion seconded by Holm. <br /> Motion carried 5 - 0. <br />PARK Wehrle gave a brief review of the Park Master Pla n for the <br />ACQUISITION property owners in attendance at the meeting. He stated <br />ISSUES that the current plan was developed in August of 1991 and <br /> was given to the City Council for their review at that time. <br />Wehrle stated that a couple of months ago the Council asked <br />the Commission to look at the Park Master Plan in <br />relationship to acquisition funding that is available. This <br />is primarily the reason why invitations were sent out to <br />certain property owners to update them with what the <br />Commission had proposed. Wehrle stated that he realizes <br />that not everyone will be in agreement with the Commission, <br />but he wanted the property owners to at least have the same <br />information. <br />Wehrle emphasized that the Commission is not looking at <br />acquisition right now. He stated that the plan is <br />conceptual and the Commission would like to see it developed <br />in the future. He indicated that the Commission has no <br />desire to buy land or have easements donated for trail <br />purposes unless the property owners are interested. He <br />stated that the Commission is aware that there are <br />-1- <br />
