MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />NOVEMBER 8, 2023 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by D. Miller. <br />Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />2024 LAW ENFORCEMENT SERVICES CONTRACT WITH RAMSEY COUNTY <br />SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT <br />The Finance Director explained tonight the Council is asked to consider the annual contract with <br />Ramsey County for law enforcement services. He stated that with the exception of the rates there were <br />not significant changes. He explained that Falcon Heights is leaving the Ramsey County contract <br />which increases the rate for the other communities. He stated that this rate has been included in the <br />proposed 2024 budget. <br />Mayor Fischer introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION NO. 2 023-11-13 7 — APPR O VING A ONE YEAR A GREEMENT FOR LA W <br />ENFORCEMENT SERVICES WITHRAMSEY COUNTYSHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT <br />FROM JANUARY 1, 2024 THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 2024. <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by D. Miller. <br />Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />COUNCIL REPORTS AND MEETING UPDATES <br />T. Miller noted an upcoming meeting for Ramsey County League of Local Government focusing on <br />age friendly cities. <br />D. Miller stated that he and T. Miller attended the strategic planning meeting for Ramsey County <br />League of Local Government and commented that it would be important for staff to stay informed on <br />those topics as well. <br />Mayor Fischer stated that he recently attended the League of Minnesota Cities mayors meeting which <br />was hosted in Wyoming and provided an overview. He noted an upcoming program at the Hmong <br />Senior Center which the Council has been invited to attend to celebrate the Hmong New Year. <br />ADJOURN <br />There being no further business, upon motion by T.
