MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />NOVEMBER 29, 2023 <br />Mayor Fischer introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2023-11-144 —ADOPTING THE 2024 B UDGET AS PRESENTED <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by T. Miller. <br />Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />Mayor Fischer introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION NO. 2 023-11-145 — APPR O VING THE 2024 SALAR Y WA GE SCHED ULE <br />AS PRESENTED <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by T. Miller. <br />Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br />T. Miller introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION NO. 2023-11-146 APPRO VING THE CONSENT AGENDA WHICH <br />CONTAINS THE FOLLOWING.- <br />0 Approval of the Vouchers <br />• Approve Temporary Liquor Licenses for Little Canada Recreation Association on <br />January 6, 2024 for a Pond Hockey Tournament and February 10, 2024 for the Ice <br />Fishing Contest <br />® Approve a Temporary Liquor License and an Exempt Gambling License for St. John's <br />Church on April 19, 2024 <br />• Approve Letter of Credit Reduction for Lennar's Pioneer Commons Development <br />• Approve Letter of Credit Reduction for Lennar's Pioneer Commons Second Addition <br />Development <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by D. Miller. <br />Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />STAFF REPORTS <br />AUTHORIZE ABATEMENT AT 2975 ARCADE STREET <br />The Community Development Director stated that complaints have been received regarding this <br />property since March of last year and has been working with the property owner. She stated that in <br />April of this year the property went into foreclosure, noting that the property owner does not live at the <br />property. She stated that because of the pending foreclosure there is limited time remaining when the <br />property owner would be able to be onsite. She stated that the City has had communication with the <br />property owner, and they are aware of the pending action tonight, noting that the property owner has <br />made significant progress, but it is one single person attempting to do this work. She stated that the <br />City would like to have the option to move forward with abatement, if the property owner cannot <br />complete the actions themselves. <br />17 <br />
