<br />Tubman programs during calendar year 2022, including other legal services, shelter, <br />community support groups, youth programming, and walk-in resources. <br /> <br />• However, Tubman was unable to provide services on an additional 7 charged domestic <br />Little Canada cases in 2022 due to a reduction in services resulting in 13% less clients <br />served. <br /> <br />Over the course of the last several years, our suburban Ramsey County legal advocacy program <br />has not received any funding support from Ramsey County and has experienced continued flat <br />government funding. However, the need for these critical services has continued to rise and so <br />have the costs to provide them. Unfortunately, that resulted in a decision to reduce available <br />services to the communities that we serve. Going forward, we will be having further discussions <br />around what it will take to provide long-term sustainability for the program and how services to <br />the cities we serve will be impacted if we are unable to meet that goal. <br /> <br />We invite you to explore ways we can work together to preserve these services, and respectfully <br />ask you to consider providing funding in your city’s budget to ensure that our law enforcement <br />and criminal justice partners can continue to rely on Tubman to help ensure victims’ safety <br />needs are met and help prevent future violence. <br /> <br />Thank you for your longstanding partnership, and your commitment to making Little Canada a <br />safe and healthy community in which to live, work, and play. <br /> <br />With gratitude, <br /> <br /> <br />Jennifer Dickinson <br />Director of Legal Services
