Community Relations: Outreach meetings As part of enhancing community relations, informal meetings with area organizations, schools, housing providers, and nonprofit organizations have been, and continue to be, scheduled. The purpose of these informal meetings is to connect, share information, and ask how, as a city, we can better communicate. These meetings continue to be beneficial and have already improved communication between entities. Table 1 outlines the completed outreach meetings. However, the intention is to continue to connect to keep the relationships and conversations moving forward. Several meetings are additionally in the process of being scheduled. Operations: Public Engagement Plan A public engagement plan has been drafted for future use. This document will serve as a road map for outreach efforts for specific projects. In particular, this template outlines the necessary level of public involvement (based on the International Association of Public Participation Spectrum of Public Participation), noting engagement methods required and a timeline for engagement. This template will be beneficial going forward to determine engagement strategies for initiatives such as street projects, development projects, and more.
