<br />3 <br /> <br />• Storm Sewer Improvements <br />The storm sewer systems within each project area were reviewed and found to be in good <br />condition. New catch basins and pipe will be added to promote the flow of water along the <br />new curb into the system. Additional minor improvements will be made as necessary to <br />ensure the storm sewer system can provide good long-term service for the new roadway. <br /> <br />An informational meeting was held with affected property owners from Jackson Street on September <br />26, 2023. There, the proposed project scope, costs, and funding sources were discussed with the <br />opportunity for property owners to comment on the project and ask questions. Utility improvements would be funded through the City’s Infrastructure <br />Capital Improvement Fund. <br /> <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />Staff recommends that the City Council approve the Resolutions receiving the Feasibility Reports and <br />Calling for an Improvement Hearing for Jackson Street (City Project No. 2024-PW42) and Country <br />Drive (City Project No. 2024-PW43). The date of the hearing would be November 8, 2023. <br />
