CITY OF LITTLE CANADA <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECEIVING REPORT AND CALLING FOR PUBLIC HEARING <br />IMPROVEMENT NO. 2024-PW42 <br /> <br />JACKSON STREET <br />(FROM LITTLE CANADA ROAD TO 520’ SOUTH) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />A feasibility report has been prepared by the City Engineer with reference to the improvement of <br />Jackson Street (from Little Canada Road to 520’ south) by road reconstruction with new asphalt <br />paving, new curb & gutter, minor additions and spot improvements to the underground utility <br />systems. This report was received by the Council on October 11, 2023, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />The report provides information regarding whether the proposed project is necessary, cost- <br />effective, and feasible. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE CANADA, <br />MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />1. The Council will consider the improvement of Jackson Street in accordance with the <br />report and the assessment of abutting property for all or a portion of the cost of the improvement <br />pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429 at an estimated total cost to the City of Little <br />Canada of $413,411. <br /> <br />2. A public hearing shall be held on such proposed improvement on November 8, 2023, in <br />the Council Chambers of the City Center at 7:30 p.m. and the City Administrator shall give <br />mailed and published notice of such hearing and improvement as required by law. <br /> <br /> <br />Adopted by the Council this 11th day of October, 2023. <br /> <br /> <br /> ______________________________ <br /> Thomas Fischer, Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />______________________________________ <br />Christopher Heineman, City Administrator <br />
