Prepared by: Bolton & Menk, Inc. INTRODUCTION
2024 Country Drive Improvements ǀ 0N1.125375 Page 1
I. INTRODUCTION
The City of Little Canada is planning roadway rehabilitation efforts on Country Drive during the
2024 and 2025 construction seasons, in accordance with the Capital Improvement Plan. This report
will focus on proposed improvements associated with the 2024 Country Drive Improvements, City
Project No. 2024-01.
Refer to Figure 1 in Appendix A for a depiction of the 2024 and 2025 project areas.
This report focuses on roadway improvements that include pavement rehabilitation, spot curb and
gutter repairs, watermain improvements, storm and sanitary sewer improvements, and other
improvements in accordance with the City’s Comprehensive Plan. Additionally, the report
discusses a possible sidewalk extension along Country Drive and South Owasso Boulevard.
This report will review the existing conditions of the defined project area and discuss, in detail, the
proposed improvements. The report will also provide preliminary cost estimates for the proposed
improvements with financing for the projects coming from a combination of special assessments
and the City’s Infrastructure Capital Improvement Fund.
An informational meeting for the project area was held on September 26, 2023. There, the
proposed project scope, costs, and funding sources were discussed with the opportunity for
property owners to comment on the project and ask questions.
One property owner attended the informational presentation and open floor project discussion
with staff. The property owner that attended had general project-related questions and did not
voice any significant concerns with the proposed project.
If the City elects to proceed with the proposed street and utility improvements described in this
report, it is anticipated that construction would begin in 2024 as detailed in the project schedule
found on Page 7.
