Open House FAQs
Why is the City considering something different along Labore Road?
Staff has fielded concerns from the community for years. The intent of this study is to
understand the demand for improvements and consider what those improvements might be
and how they might be achieved over time.
Would I have to shovel or maintain a sidewalk or trail?
No, the City would perform all maintenance including snow removal.
Would I have to pay for any of these proposed improvements?
Not directly. Unlike street improvements, where a portion of the project is assessed
directly to property owners, pedestrian improvements like a sidewalk or trail, would
be paid for with general city funding or grants.
How would my property be impacted?
Some options impact properties more than others. Specific impacts will not be known until a
project is designed. However, projects would generally be confined to the City right-of-way
and disturbed areas would be restored to equal or better conditions.
