Labore R
o
a
d
Edgerton RoadArcade StreetCounty Road D (CR 19)Keller ParkwayGervais Lake
Labore Road and Arcade Street
In 2021, an intersection review of Labore Road and
Arcade Street was performed by a licensed engineer
and was re-evaluated with this corridor study.
• In 2021, the intersection did not meet the MUTCD warrants
for an all-way stop (AWS).
• Vegetation clearing was performed in early 2021 and the
hope was that intersection safety would improve.
• Since 2021, four right-angle crashes have occurred and
there appears to be a perpetual safety problem.
• Upon a thorough analysis, the MUTCD allows an engineer
to make recommendations outside of the typical warrant
analysis if there is a justifiable safety reason for an AWS.
Based on these findings, conversion of this
intersection to an AWS is recommended.
Intersection performance should continue to be
monitored. If the intersection continues to perform
poorly, one of the following may also be considered to
further improve the intersection:
• Move lane striping north to extend sight lines further.
• Move roadway north to extend sight lines further.
• Mini roundabout to improve safety.
• City Council may direct improvements at their discretion.
