STAFF REPORT <br />TO:Mayor Fischer and Members of City Council <br />FROM:Heidi Heller, City Clerk/HR Manager <br />DATE:November 29, 2023 <br />RE:Temporary Liquor License & Exempt Gambling Permit for St. John’s Church <br />ACTION TO BE CONSIDERED: <br />Approve a 1-day temporary liquor license and an exempt gambling permit for St. John’s Church <br />on April 19, 2024. <br />BACKGROUND: <br />St. John’s Church has made application for a 1-day temporary liquor license and an exempt <br />gambling permit to conduct a raffle, tipboards and paddlewheels for an event at the school on April <br />19, 2024. Staff has received the required application forms but the fees and certificate of insurance <br />for the liquor liability have not yet been submitted. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends approval of the 1-day temporary liquor license and an exempt gambling permit <br />for St. John’s Church on April 19, 2024, subject to receiving the fees and certificate of insurance.
