CITY OF LITTLE CANADA <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 2023-148 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SUBMISSION OF LOCAL PARTNERSHIP <br />PROGRAM APPLICATION FOR THE LITTLE CANADA ROAD AND COUNTRY <br />DRIVE INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENT PROJECT <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Little Canada supports the application for the Local Partnership Program <br />(LPP) funding for a project identified as the Little Canada Road and Country Drive Intersection <br />Improvement Project; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the proposed Little Canada Road and Country Drive Intersection Improvement <br />Project will result in operational and safety benefits to the I-35E interchange; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Little Canada has a willingness to secure and guarantee the local share <br />of costs associated with this project and responsibility for seeing this project through to its <br />completion, with compliance of all applicable laws, rules and regulations; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Little Canada will cooperate with MnDOT on matters relating to the <br />design, construction, and continued operation of I-35E interchange ramp signals. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Little <br />Canada; that <br /> <br />1. The City of Little Canada supports the Local Partnership Program application for the <br />Little Canada Road and Country Drive Intersection Improvement Project and authorizes <br />staff to prepare and submit such application; and <br /> <br />2. The City of Little Canada will make available sufficient funds to cover the estimated <br />local share of costs plus any additional project costs in the event that the project exceeds <br />the estimated total cost of the project as reflected in the project application. <br /> <br /> <br />Adopted by the Council this 29th day of November, 2023. <br /> <br /> <br /> _____________________________ <br /> Thomas Fischer, Mayor <br /> <br />Attest: _________________________________ <br /> Christopher Heineman, City Administrator <br />
