MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MAY 13, 2009 <br />replacement of 20 hanging baskets along Little Canada Road and 4 ground <br />planters at the bus hub at a cost of $2,523.20. He pointed out that the <br />currently hanging planters are not very substantial, and will need <br />replacement within the next year or two. <br />Keis asked if there will be special equipment needed to water the hanging <br />planters. The Administrator reported that the Parks Department already <br />has the necessary equipment, which includes a watering wand to reach up <br />to the planters. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2009-5-108 -AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE <br />OF 20 HANGING PLANTERS AND 4 GROUND PLANTERS FROM <br />ALPHA PROD UCTS AS RECOMMENDED BY THE CITY <br />ADMINISTRATOR AT A COST OF $2,523.20 PLUS SALES TAX <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Boss. <br />Ayes (4). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />CTV 15 Montour congratulated Little Canada residents Joan Gerten and Keith <br />VOLUNTEER Flanagan on their receipt of program awards from CTV 15, recently <br />PRODUCERS presented at CTV's Volunteer Awards Banquet. <br />AWARD <br />MIDWEST Blesener commented on a recent article in the Roseville-Little Canada <br />GYMNASTICS Review about a gymnast that is receiving training at Midwest Gymnastics. <br />Blesener noted that Midwest Gymnastics is located in Little Canada after <br />purchasing and renovating the former Knox building. <br />ADJOURN Mr. Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2009-5-109 -ADJOURNING <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. <br />Ayes (4). <br />Nays (0).
