MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JANUARY 10, 2024 <br />STAFF REPORTS <br />COUNTY ROAD D LIFT STATION AND FORCEMAIN FEASIBILITY STUDY <br />The Public Works Director provided background information on the County Road B lift station. He <br />stated that the development proposed near that lift station caused a review of that area and determined <br />that the infrastructure is currently at capacity. He stated that staff would like to complete a feasibility <br />study to determine what would be needed to support future development in that area. He stated that <br />Bolton & Menk can complete the study for a not -to -exceed cost of $12,000. <br />T. Miller introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION NO. 2024-1-3 — A UTHORIZING A CONTRA CT WITH BOLTON & MENK <br />IN THE AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $12, 000 FOR PRELIMINARY ENGINEERING <br />FOR THE COUNTY ROAD B LIFT STATIONAND FOR CEMAIN IMPROVEMENTS <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Kwapick. <br />Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />PURCHASE AGREEMENT FOR 2828 CONDIT STREET <br />The Public Works Director explained tonight the Council is asked to consider a purchase agreement <br />for the property at 2828 Condit Street. The property is currently owned by the Gonyeas, zoned <br />commercial, and has an existing home and garage. He stated that the appraisal concluded that the best <br />and highest use for the property is commercial development, which may include multi -family housing. <br />He explained that the City has acquired five adjacent properties, therefore the acquisition of this <br />property would provide a larger parcel for redevelopment. He reviewed the proposed terms of the <br />purchase agreement and provided details on the funding the City would use to acquire the property. <br />Mayor Fischer recognized that this is a large purchase, but the City has acquired properties in the past <br />to package together for redevelopment and hoped that with this property and adjacent properties, the <br />City would be able to do something great. <br />Mayor Fischer introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION NO. 2024-1-4 — APPROVING THE PURCHASE AGREEMENT FOR THE <br />ACQUISITION OF THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 2828 CONDIT STREET <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by T. Miller. <br />Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />2024 CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE APPOINTMENTS <br />The City Clerk explained tonight the Council is asked to consider the annual committee appointments <br />noting that there are no changes suggested from the appointments in 2023. <br />Kwapick introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />2 <br />
