MINUTES CITY COUNCIL JANUARY 10, 2024 STAFF REPORTS COUNTY ROAD D LIFT STATION AND FORCEMAIN FEASIBILITY STUDY The Public Works Director provided background information on the County Road B lift station. He stated that the development proposed near that lift station caused a review of that area and determined that the infrastructure is currently at capacity. He stated that staff would like to complete a feasibility study to determine what would be needed to support future development in that area. He stated that Bolton & Menk can complete the study for a not -to -exceed cost of $12,000. T. Miller introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOL UTION NO. 2024-1-3 — A UTHORIZING A CONTRA CT WITH BOLTON & MENK IN THE AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $12, 000 FOR PRELIMINARY ENGINEERING FOR THE COUNTY ROAD B LIFT STATIONAND FOR CEMAIN IMPROVEMENTS The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Kwapick. Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. PURCHASE AGREEMENT FOR 2828 CONDIT STREET The Public Works Director explained tonight the Council is asked to consider a purchase agreement for the property at 2828 Condit Street. The property is currently owned by the Gonyeas, zoned commercial, and has an existing home and garage. He stated that the appraisal concluded that the best and highest use for the property is commercial development, which may include multi -family housing. He explained that the City has acquired five adjacent properties, therefore the acquisition of this property would provide a larger parcel for redevelopment. He reviewed the proposed terms of the purchase agreement and provided details on the funding the City would use to acquire the property. Mayor Fischer recognized that this is a large purchase, but the City has acquired properties in the past to package together for redevelopment and hoped that with this property and adjacent properties, the City would be able to do something great. Mayor Fischer introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOL UTION NO. 2024-1-4 — APPROVING THE PURCHASE AGREEMENT FOR THE ACQUISITION OF THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 2828 CONDIT STREET The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by T. Miller. Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. 2024 CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE APPOINTMENTS The City Clerk explained tonight the Council is asked to consider the annual committee appointments noting that there are no changes suggested from the appointments in 2023.
