MINUTES CITY COUNCIL JANUARY 10, 2024 T. Miller stated that the Ramsey County League of Local Government legislative update will be held this Thursday. Kwapick provided an update on the most recent meeting of the Little Canada Historical Society Board. He also noted the upcoming open house event on January 271h. Mayor Fischer provided an update on the most recent meetings of the regional council of mayors, the local mayors and city managers group, and the Fire Relief Association. ADJOURN REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING There being no further business, upon motion by Mayor Fischer, seconded by Kwapick the meeting was adjourned at 8:02 p.m. RECONVENE AS THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY President Fischer called the January 10, 2024 regular meeting of the Economic Development Authority to order at 8:02 p.m. APPOINT 2024 ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY OFFICERS The City Clerk reviewed the proposed slate of officers for the Economic Development Authority, recommending approval as presented. President Fischer introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOL UTION NO. EDA2024-1-1 —APPOINTING THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY OFFICERS FOR 2024 The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by T. Miller. Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. ADOPT 2024 ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY BUDGET The City Clerk stated that beginning in 2022, the City began to contribute $30,000 annually to the EDA budget. She stated that staff recommends continuing that allocation of $30,000. President Fischer commented that there is intent to bring in experts to provide guidance in land use within the city. T. Miller introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOL UTION NO. EDA2 024-1-2 — APPR O VING THE EDA B UD GET IN THE AMOUNT OF $30,000 FOR 2024 The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by D. Miller. Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. 0
