MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JANUARY 10, 2024 <br />T. Miller stated that the Ramsey County League of Local Government legislative update will be held <br />this Thursday. <br />Kwapick provided an update on the most recent meeting of the Little Canada Historical Society Board. <br />He also noted the upcoming open house event on January 271h. <br />Mayor Fischer provided an update on the most recent meetings of the regional council of mayors, the <br />local mayors and city managers group, and the Fire Relief Association. <br />ADJOURN REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING <br />There being no further business, upon motion by Mayor Fischer, seconded by Kwapick the <br />meeting was adjourned at 8:02 p.m. <br />RECONVENE AS THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY <br />President Fischer called the January 10, 2024 regular meeting of the Economic Development Authority <br />to order at 8:02 p.m. <br />APPOINT 2024 ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY OFFICERS <br />The City Clerk reviewed the proposed slate of officers for the Economic Development Authority, <br />recommending approval as presented. <br />President Fischer introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION NO. EDA2024-1-1 —APPOINTING THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT <br />AUTHORITY OFFICERS FOR 2024 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by T. Miller. <br />Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />ADOPT 2024 ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY BUDGET <br />The City Clerk stated that beginning in 2022, the City began to contribute $30,000 annually to the <br />EDA budget. She stated that staff recommends continuing that allocation of $30,000. <br />President Fischer commented that there is intent to bring in experts to provide guidance in land use <br />within the city. <br />T. Miller introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION NO. EDA2 024-1-2 — APPR O VING THE EDA B UD GET IN THE AMOUNT <br />OF $30,000 FOR 2024 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by D. Miller. <br />Ayes (5). Nays (0).
