MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />FEBRUARY 28, 2024 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the City Council of Little Canada, <br />Minnesota was convened on the 28th day of February 2024 in the Council Chambers of the City Center <br />located at 515 Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Mayor Tom Fischer called the meeting to -order at 7:33 p.m. and the following members of the City <br />Council were present at roll call: <br />CITY COUNCIL: Mayor Fischer, Council Members T. Miller, Kwapick, Gutierrez and D. Miller. <br />Absent: None. <br />ALSO PRESENT: City Administrator Chris Heineman, Community Development Director Corrin <br />Wendell, and City Clerk/HR Manager Heidi Heller. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />D. Miller introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2 024-2-22 — APPROVING THE MINUTES OF THE FEBR UAR Y 14, <br />2024 WORKSHOP AND THE FEBRUARY 14, 2024 REGULAR MEETINGS AS <br />SUBMITTED <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by T. Miller. <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS <br />The City Administrator reported that the City did close on the Centerville Road property last week and <br />hopes to have the lease agreement finalized the following day. He stated that he and Council member <br />Kwapick will be attending the League of Minnesota Cities Organized Day on the Hill on Thursday, <br />March 7th <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br />None. <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />ORDINANCE 893. AMENDING ZONING CODE CHAPTERS 907 AND 914 RELATED TO <br />MICROUNITS IN SACRED SETTLEMENTS <br />The Community Development Director provided background information on sacred settlements and <br />recent related legislation. She reviewed information related to eligibility and requirements, and <br />minimum standards for settlements. <br />Mayor Fischer opened the public hearing for comments from the general public. <br />There were no comments from the public. Upon motion by T. Miller, seconded by Kwapick, the <br />public hearing was closed. Ayes (5). Nays (0). Motion adopted. <br />
