MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING CITY COUNCIL LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA FEBRUARY 28, 2024 Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the City Council of Little Canada, Minnesota was convened on the 28th day of February 2024 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 Little Canada Road in said City. Mayor Tom Fischer called the meeting to -order at 7:33 p.m. and the following members of the City Council were present at roll call: CITY COUNCIL: Mayor Fischer, Council Members T. Miller, Kwapick, Gutierrez and D. Miller. Absent: None. ALSO PRESENT: City Administrator Chris Heineman, Community Development Director Corrin Wendell, and City Clerk/HR Manager Heidi Heller. APPROVAL OF MINUTES D. Miller introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2 024-2-22 — APPROVING THE MINUTES OF THE FEBR UAR Y 14, 2024 WORKSHOP AND THE FEBRUARY 14, 2024 REGULAR MEETINGS AS SUBMITTED The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by T. Miller. ANNOUNCEMENTS The City Administrator reported that the City did close on the Centerville Road property last week and hopes to have the lease agreement finalized the following day. He stated that he and Council member Kwapick will be attending the League of Minnesota Cities Organized Day on the Hill on Thursday, March 7th PUBLIC COMMENT None. PUBLIC HEARINGS ORDINANCE 893. AMENDING ZONING CODE CHAPTERS 907 AND 914 RELATED TO MICROUNITS IN SACRED SETTLEMENTS The Community Development Director provided background information on sacred settlements and recent related legislation. She reviewed information related to eligibility and requirements, and minimum standards for settlements. Mayor Fischer opened the public hearing for comments from the general public. There were no comments from the public. Upon motion by T. Miller, seconded by Kwapick, the public hearing was closed. Ayes (5). Nays (0). Motion adopted.
