MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />MARCH 13, 2024 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the City Council of Little Canada, <br />Minnesota was convened on the 13' day of March 2024 in the Council Chambers of the City Center <br />located at 515 Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Mayor Tom Fischer called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and the following members of the City <br />Council were present at roll call: <br />CITY COUNCIL: Mayor Fischer, Council Members T. Miller, Kwapick, Gutierrez and D. Miller. <br />Absent: None. <br />ALSO PRESENT: City Administrator Chris Heineman, Community Development Director Corrin <br />Wendell, Public Works Director Bill Dirks, Finance Director Sam Magureanu, Communications <br />Relations Manager Lauran Linehan, City Engineer Eric Seaburg and City Clerk/HR Manager Heidi <br />Heller. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />T. Miller introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION NO. 2024-3-2 7 — APPR O VING THE MINUTES OF THE FEBR VAR Y 281 <br />2024 WORKSHOP AND THE FEBR UARY 28, 2024 REGULAR MEETINGS AS <br />SUBMITTED <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by D. Miller. <br />Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS <br />None. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br />None. <br />PRESENTATIONS <br />PATRICIA NAUMAN, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, METRO CITIES <br />Patricia Nauman, Executive Director of Metro Cities, introduced herself and provided background <br />information on her organization. She provided an update on the recent discussion and activity at the <br />legislature that is of interest to cities in the metropolitan area, including bills that would take local land <br />control away from cities. <br />The City Administrator referenced the sales tax that will provide funding for housing needs, noting that <br />the Council discussed that in worksession and recognized that there will be administrative costs as <br />well. He asked if some of the funding allocation could be used towards administration of the <br />programs. <br />
