MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MAY 27, 2009 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montour. <br />Ayes (4). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />COUNTY The City Engineer reviewed his report dated May 26, 2009 relative <br />12OAD B-2 to the provision in the Development Agreement with St. Jude Medical <br />PLANTINGS that boulevard plantings will be added along County Road B-2 from Rice <br />Street to the St. Jude Medical property. The Engineer reported that he has <br />worked with St. Jude to develop ati acceptable planting plan, and that plan <br />will be implemented in two phases. The first phase will include adding <br />Maple trees along the south boulevard of B-2 from Rice Street through St. <br />Jude's new property, crabapple trees between the curb and sidewalk on the <br />north side of B-2 from Park Street through the Roseville School entrances, <br />and shredded wood mulch bed with evergreen shrubs along the new <br />property fence between the truck entrance and main entrance of the new <br />St. Jude property. The second phase will address the area between Rice <br />and Park Street on the north side of B-2. <br />The City Engineer reported that quotes have been obtained for phase one, <br />with the low quote from Willow River Tree Farms in the amount of <br />$20,675.89. <br />The City Administrator reported that there is a $100,000 budget for <br />landscaping improvements in the TIF District, which include some fencing <br />improvements as well The Administrator noted that the City Engineer did <br />a good job in developing a landscape plan that would not interfere with <br />existing power lines. <br />Blesener asked if the school district was aware of the landscaping. "1 he <br />Engineer reported that SD 916 is very supportive of the landscaping. He <br />also reported that he has informed SD 623, but has not received final <br />approval. The Engineer stated that he would contact SD 623 to ensure <br />they have no concerns with the proposal. <br />Mr. McGraw introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2009-5-121-AWARDING THE QUOTE OF <br />WILLOW RIVER TREE FARMS IN THE AMOUNT OF $20,675.89 <br />FOR PHASE ONE LANDSCAPING ALONG COUNTY ROAD B-2 AS <br />RECOMMENDED BY THE CITY ENGINEER <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Boss. <br />Ayes (4). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />11 <br />
