MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING
PLANNING COMMISSION
LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA
JUNE 11, 2009
Pursuant to due call acid notice thereof a regular meeting of the Planning
Commission of Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the 11th day of
June, 2009 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515
Little Canada Road in said City.
Chair Dan Knudsen called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and the
following members of the Planning Commission were present at roll call:
PLANNING COMMISSION:
Mr. Dan Knudsen
Mr. Scott Barraclough
Mr. Tom Duray
Mr. Michael Everson
Mr. Tom Fischer
Mr. Jon Hall
Mr. Chuck Pechmann
ALSO PRF;SEN'f:
Mr. Steve Grittman, City Planner
Mr. Kevin Helander, Cable TV
Ms. Kathy Glanzer, City Clerk
MINUTES The May 7, 2009 Planning Commission meeting minutes were approved
as submitted.
PUD The City Planner reported that Mr. Bob Maietta, Temo Sunrooms, was not
AMENDMENT- able to be present this evening. 'The Planner noted that Mr. Maietta has
2905 revised his plans and is not proposing to add a trash enclosure to the
COUNTRY existing trash enclosure/accessory building that exists on the property.
DRIVE -
TEMO Knudsen felt that the revised plan was a much better solution than the
SUNROOMS plan that was considered in May. Knudsen noted that the only issue raised
in the City Planner's report relates to the use of a gate on the trash
enclosure rather than a door. Knudsen stated that he was fine with the
gate and felt it adequately covered the opening and provided some
flexibility. Duray agreed that the new location was a much better solution.
Fischer asked if the orientation of the dumpster enclosure was a problem
given that the opening faces north toward the parking lot. The City
Planner replied that Mr. Maietta will have to manage the timing of the use
