MINUTES CITY COUNCIL JUNE 22, 2009 The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McCraw. Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. STORM WATER Blesener opened the Public Hearing to review the City's Storm Water POLLUTION Pollution Prevention Prograni acid discuss the City's progress in meeting PREVENTION National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) requirements. PRO(=RAM The Public Works Superintendent reviewed in detail the 2008 Annual Report for Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems which outlines the City's efforts in meeting standards for elimination of the discharge of pollutants into the storm water system. These efforts include inspection of outfalls, ponds, and pollution control devices; the dredging of the Jackson/Demont wetland; the purchase of a regenerative air sweeper and an increase in the City's sweeping activities; a decrease in the amount of salt usage; Savage Lake water quality study; and adoption of a Surface Water Management Plan. There was no one present from the general public wishing to comment on the City's Storm Water Pollution Prevention Program. Upon motion by McGraw, seconded by Montour, the public hearing was closed. The Superintendent noted that the Public Hearing this evening is for the purpose of obtaining the public's comments on the Program. There is no Council action necessary. CONSENT Mr. Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: AGENDA RESOLUTIONNO.2009-6-143 -APPROVING THE CONSENT AGENDA WHICH CONTAINS THE FOLLOWING: *APPROVAL OF THE VOUCHERS; *,4PPROVAL OF THE PARTIAL PAYREQUEST FOR FRATTALONE COMPANIES FOR THE 2008 STORM SEWER PROJECT IN THE AMOUNT OF $26,329.26 AS RECOMMENDED BY THE CITY ENGINER; *APPROVAL OF CHANGE ORDER #I WITH FRATTALONE COMPANIES FOR THE 2008 STORM SEWER PROJECT AS RECOMMENDED SY THE CITY ENGINEER; 13
