REQUIRED PROPOSAL ELEMENTS <br />TITLE PAGE <br />The title page should include the RFP subject, the firm’s name, address, telephone, name and email <br />address of the contact person, and the date. <br />TRANSMITTAL LETTER <br />A signed letter of transmittal briefly stating the firm’s understanding of the work to be done, the <br />commitment to perform the work within requested time periods, a statement why the firm believes <br />that it is best qualified to perform the engagement and a statement that the proposal is a firm and <br />irrevocable offer. <br />PROPOSAL <br />FIRM PROFILE <br />1. Provide a summary of the organization or firm including the number of attorneys, <br />number of partners and associates and their overall capabilities, qualifications, training <br />and areas of expertise/specialty. Include the length of employment for each person and <br />his/her/their area of specialization. <br />2. Provide number of clients and a list of all Minnesota municipal clients. <br />3. Provide a brief description of the legal services, specifically related to municipal <br />government, of which the firm is capable of providing along with an explanation of how <br />these services might best assist the City of Little Canada. <br />4. Provide a brief description of the experience of the firm in representing municipalities <br />specifically in areas of general counsel, human resources, code enforcement, land use, <br />property real estate, development/redevelopment, legislative involvement, and <br />public/private partnerships. <br />5. Any additional information, including court case involvement or creative solutions, <br />which might be beneficial to the city in evaluating the organization’s qualifications to <br />serve as City Attorney. <br />6. If the firm/individual, or any of the attorneys employed by the firm, have ever been sued <br />by cities or other clients for malpractice, been the subject of complaints filed with the <br />State Bar, or had discipline imposed by the State Bar, please provide information about <br />the nature of the incident, the dates of when the matter began and was concluded, and <br />the results of the situation. <br />7. A statement of the institution’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and how <br />that influences decisions and advice provided to the City of Little Canada. <br />8. Indicate whether designated lead attorneys or the law firm represent, or have <br />represented, any client whose representation may conflict with your ability to provide <br />legal services to the city. <br />9. Indicate whether designated lead attorneys or the law firm currently represents any other <br />local units of government having jurisdiction within, or contiguous to, the City of <br />Little Canada.
