MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JUNE 129 2024 <br />Gutierrez asked the time for the event. The Community Relations Manager commented that noon was <br />selected as many people will have that day off or could come by on their lunch. She noted that this <br />time also did not conflict with other the activities that were going on later at the park. <br />Kwapick appreciated this citizen -led initiative for this recently adopted holiday. Mayor Fischer <br />commented that staff does not have the capacity to hold events for every holiday, noting that the City <br />does not have a 4th of July event either. He was thrilled to see this resident take the lead on the event, <br />noting that hopefully this could continue in the future and be built upon.. <br />Mayor Fischer introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by T. Miller. <br />Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />SIDEWALK REPAIR AT LITTLE CANADA FIRE STATION <br />The City Manager commented that this item and the next item are requests from the Fire Department. <br />He stated that there is a sunken sidewalk that can be repaired. He noted that this is a safety issue and <br />was identified as a needed repair in the long-range planning process. He stated that two quotes were <br />received for the project. He stated that interior painting was included in the 2023 CIP but was not <br />completed in 2023 and therefore is requested to be done now. <br />T. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />INTERIOR PAINTING AT LITTLE CANADA FIRE STATION <br />Mayor Fischer acknowledged that this was on the 2023 CIP but was not completed at that time. He <br />noted that the proper process was followed to obtain a bid. <br />T.
