MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />DULY 249 2024 <br />21"D QUARTER 2024 FINANCIAL REPORT <br />The Finance Director presented the second quarter financial report to the Council including <br />information on revenue, expenditures, and investments. He stated that they began the 2025 budget <br />discussions in April and highlighted the upcoming budget meetings. He also reviewed historical City <br />property taxes in relation to the City tax rate and home market value. <br />Mayor Fischer commented that he appreciated the detail and update as well as the proactive work <br />towards the budget. <br />ADDITION — RESOLUTIONS OF SUPPORT FOR LIVABLE COMMUNITIES ACT GRANT <br />APPLICATIONS FOR RICE & DEMONT MULTI -FAMILY PROJECT AND COUNTY <br />ROAD B EAST SENIOR HOUSING PROJECT <br />The City Administrator stated that both of these projects have pursued this funding in 2023 and the <br />City provided similar resolutions of support, although neither project received funding from that cycle. <br />He stated that this focused more on certain initiatives within the projects, which may rank higher than <br />the previous requests. He explained that the application cycle is open through August 12 th and the City <br />will be the applicant in those requests. <br />Kwapick introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION NO. 2 024- 7-88 — APPR 0 VING A RESOL UTION OF S UPPOR T <br />IDENTIFYING THE NEED FOR LIVEABLE COMMUNITIES DEMONS TRA TION <br />ACCOUNTFUNDING FOR THE REUTER WALTON MULTI-FAMIL Y HOUSING <br />PROJECT A T RICE AND DEMONT AND A UTHORIZING SUBMITAL OF THE GRANT <br />APPLICA TION. <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by T. Miller. <br />Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />Kwapick introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION NO. 2024-7-89 — APPRO VING A RESOL UTION OF SUPPOR T <br />IDENTIFYING THE NEED FOR LIVABLE COMMUNITIES DEMONSTRATION <br />A CCO UNT FUNDING FOR THE L UPE DE VEL OPMENT SENIOR HO USING <br />PROJECT ON COUYTYROAD B EASTAND AUTHORIZING SUBMITTAL OF THE <br />GRANTAPPLICATION. <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by T. Miller. <br />Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />COUNCIL REPORTS AND MEETING UPDATES <br />Kwapick provided an update on the most recent meeting of the Little Canada Historical Society. He <br />provided details on the current food drive noting that items can be brought to City Hall, collected <br />during the parade, or brought to Canadian Days for collection. <br />3 <br />
