RFP SCHEDULE <br />The following schedule and deadlines apply to this solicitation: <br /> <br />Non-mandatory Site Visit Date <br />August 22, 2024, at 9:00 AM. <br />• Meet at City Hall at 515 Little Canada Road E. <br /> <br />Date for Final Submittal of Questions <br />August 26, 2024, no later than 4:30 PM CST <br />Submit questions to Bill Dircks, Public Works Director, at <br />bill.dircks@littlecanadamn.org <br /> <br />Request for Proposal <br />August 29, 2024, no later than 4:30 PM CST <br />Electronic copies must be emailed to Bill Dircks, Public Works Director, at <br />bill.dircks@littlecanadamn.org with the subject “RFP for Solar on Public Buildings – <br />City of Little Canada – City Hall 2024.” <br /> <br />Solar on Public Buildings Grant Application <br />September 23, 2024, no later than 5:00 PM CST. Grant applications must be submitted <br />on behalf of the city as part of the proposal. <br /> <br />V. SITE INFORMATION <br />The city currently, as a whole, uses approximately 1.1 million kilowatt-hours (kWh) per <br />year. The city has interest in a photovoltaic system for electricity generation that can be <br />successfully installed on the roof of the pool building. The average energy use for each <br />facility for 2021-2023 is provided: <br /> <br />City Hall Building <br />515 Little Canada Rd. E. Little Canada, MN 55117 <br />2021 Usage: 59780 kWh <br />2022 Usage: 64560 kWh <br />2023 Usage: 65200 kWh <br /> <br />VI. EXAMINATION OF SITE PRIOR TO SUBMITTING PROPOSAL <br />Each provider must inform themselves fully of the conditions relating to the project and <br />the employment of labor thereon. Failure to do so will not relieve a successful bidder of <br />the obligation to carry out the provisions of the contract. <br /> <br />The provider will design and install a solar photovoltaic system. The provider should <br />make every effort to visit the site and determine the best course of action. <br /> <br />The size limit for the array is the lesser of 40kwh or 120% of the building’s average <br />energy use (the 120% is inclusive of any CSG subscription or existing distributed energy <br />generation on the building). <br />
