RFP SCHEDULE The following schedule and deadlines apply to this solicitation: Non-mandatory Site Visit Date August 22, 2024, at 9:00 AM. • Meet at City Hall at 515 Little Canada Road E. Date for Final Submittal of Questions August 26, 2024, no later than 4:30 PM CST Submit questions to Bill Dircks, Public Works Director, at bill.dircks@littlecanadamn.org Request for Proposal August 29, 2024, no later than 4:30 PM CST Electronic copies must be emailed to Bill Dircks, Public Works Director, at bill.dircks@littlecanadamn.org with the subject “RFP for Solar on Public Buildings – City of Little Canada – City Hall 2024.” Solar on Public Buildings Grant Application September 23, 2024, no later than 5:00 PM CST. Grant applications must be submitted on behalf of the city as part of the proposal. V. SITE INFORMATION The city currently, as a whole, uses approximately 1.1 million kilowatt-hours (kWh) per year. The city has interest in a photovoltaic system for electricity generation that can be successfully installed on the roof of the pool building. The average energy use for each facility for 2021-2023 is provided: City Hall Building 515 Little Canada Rd. E. Little Canada, MN 55117 2021 Usage: 59780 kWh 2022 Usage: 64560 kWh 2023 Usage: 65200 kWh VI. EXAMINATION OF SITE PRIOR TO SUBMITTING PROPOSAL Each provider must inform themselves fully of the conditions relating to the project and the employment of labor thereon. Failure to do so will not relieve a successful bidder of the obligation to carry out the provisions of the contract. The provider will design and install a solar photovoltaic system. The provider should make every effort to visit the site and determine the best course of action. The size limit for the array is the lesser of 40kwh or 120% of the building’s average energy use (the 120% is inclusive of any CSG subscription or existing distributed energy generation on the building).
