MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />AUGUST 28, 2024 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the City Council of Little Canada, <br />Minnesota was convened on the 28th day of August 2024 in the Council Chambers of the City Center <br />located at 515 Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Mayor Tom Fischer called the meeting to order at 7:37 p.m. and the following members of the City <br />Council were present at roll call: <br />CITY COUNCIL: Mayor Fischer, Council Members T. Miller, Kwapick, Gutierrez and D. Miller. <br />Absent: None. <br />ALSO PRESENT: City Administrator Chris Heineman, Public Works Director Bill Dircks, City <br />Engineer Eric Seaburg and City Clerk/HR Manager Heidi Heller. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />T. Miller introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL, ,, ca e <br />4 WORKSHOP AND THE , UGUST 14,2024REGULAR , <br />SUBMITTED <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Kwapick. <br />Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS <br />None. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br />Rocky Waite, 2651 Lakeshore Avenue, commented that he spoke at a previous Council meeting and <br />has not yet received answers to his questions. Mayor Fischer commented that an assessment was <br />completed of the Veterans Memorial and there is some work being done related to the water feature, <br />the solidity of the structure, and readability of names on the stone. <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />CONSIDER A MINOR SUBDIVISION OF 3075 EDGERTON STREET <br />The City Clerk presented an application to split the property at.3075 Edgerton Street into two equal <br />parcels. She stated that the newly created lots would exceed the minimum lot standards. She stated <br />that the Planning Commission reviewed this at their August meeting and unanimously recommended <br />approval. The City Council is asked to hold a public hearing tonight to consider the request and noted <br />that staff recommends approval as presented. She noted that the applicants would remain in their <br />home on the north lot and would intend to sell the southern lot, where a new single-family home could <br />be constructed. <br />Mayor Fischer opened the public hearing for comments from the general public. <br />
