A follow-up clean up was <br />made by State Highway Department and between them a total of 52 loads <br />were hauled to the Vadnais Tree Disposal site on Centerville Road. <br />In connection with National Guard Elm pick-up, lovernor Anderson was <br />notified, and his office was asked of the possibility of the use of <br />National Guard troops to remove diseased elms behind the cemetery. <br />He acknowledged that this possibility is being considered. <br />Clayton Parks, thF City Attorney, is currently drawing up an ordinance <br />which will help those persons on fixed incomes pay for costly tree <br />removal. Tree removal costs would be a deferred assessment. <br />Little Canada allocated $10)000 for subsidy of tree removal in <br />1976 and $10,000 'n 1.977. This is in conjunction with the State of <br />Minnesota ^,rant-in�,Aid Program. Under this Program, private homeovmers <br />are curr^nt 0, being reimbursed one half the total cost for diseased <br />trees-remov®d in 1976. A limit of $500;00 per hossehold was set. <br />The final date to apply for grant money for trees remo,ed in 1976 is <br />March G, 1977. NO APPLICATIONS WILL B??
