Knox Lumber Company hereby requests building permit for <br />construction of a 56,000 square foot facility for our <br />subsidiary company, Midway -Platt Company, on a five acre <br />parcel of land to the rear of our Knox Little Canada <br />Lumber Yard. The estimated total cost of the project is <br />approximately $5009000.00. <br />2. The proposed center would have four operations which are <br />-presently located in different parts of the Twin Cities: <br />A.' Millwork Shop --- this facility assembles pre -hung <br />doors and windows for all the Knox Yards and has <br />approximately 15 employees. <br />B. Truss Shop --- this facility manufactures trusses <br />for all Knox Yards and has approximately''i" Yve'�emol.-byees. <br />C. Distribution Center --- this facility receives,pdGe <br />marks and distributes all Knox hardware merchandise. <br />We employee between 20-30 people.i.n this facility <br />mostly housewif es and students who want flexible part - <br />,time work. <br />D.
