MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />SEPTEMBER 11, 2024 <br />D. Miller referenced some of the easy programming ideas for some of these areas and asked if staff has <br />begun to plan for things for 2025. The City Administrator stated that there are exciting opportunities <br />that staff hopes to utilize in the coming future. D. Miller referenced the concept of a community <br />garden. The City Administrator confirmed that the item will be on the October agenda for the Parks <br />and Recreation Commission meeting to consider for 2025. <br />Mayor Fischer introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N1 / i l 0 t —ACCEPTING THE LITTLE CANADA RICE STRE <br />CORRIDOR <br />ee,rURBAN ,ND INSTITUTE (ULI) TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE <br />PANEL <br />REPORT. <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by T. Miller. <br />Ayes (5). Days (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />COUNCIL REPORTS AND MEETING UPDATES <br />Gutierrez provided an update on the most recent Fire Relief meeting that she and Mayor Fischer <br />attended. She also recognized the lives that were lost on September 11, 2001, and asked for a moment <br />of silence in honor of those individuals. <br />T. Miller reported that Ramsey County League of Local Government will begin a three-part series the <br />following day on the topic of Al. She stated that the League of Women Voters will be hosting a <br />candidate forum next week on Wednesday at City Hall. <br />D. Miller stated that the Cable Commission will begin its budgeting discussions. He also provided an <br />update on a recent Ramsey County League of Local Government workshop that he attended related to <br />climate planning. <br />Mayor Fischer provided an update on the recent meetings of the Regional Council of Mayors and a <br />meeting of nine local city administrators and mayors. <br />ADJOURN <br />There being no further business, upon motion by Mayor Fischer, seconded by De Miller, the <br />meeting was adjourned at 8:22 p.m. <br />Thomas Fischer, Mayor <br />Attest: <br />Q <br />Christopher Hein an, City Administrator <br />Cl <br />
