2601-1 <br />CITY OF LITTLE CANADA <br /> RAMSEY COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA ORDINANCE NO. 876 <br />2601. CONTROL AND MANAGEMENT OF PARKS AND PARK FACILITIES <br />2601.010. DEFINITIONS. <br />1."Council" shall mean and refer to the Little Canada City Council. <br />2."Parks" shall mean a park, playground, trail, nature area, recreation center, special <br />use facility area or any other areas in the City-owned, leased, used or controlled, <br />wholly in part, by the City for such purposes as are designated by the Council as <br />and for park use. <br />3."Person" shall mean and refer to any individual, firm, partnership, corporation, and <br />association or persons. <br />4."Waters" shall mean and refer to any lake, pond, river, stream or other body of water <br />located wholly within the boundaries of Little Canada, including those waters lying <br />within 300 feet and immediately abutting such shoreline. <br />5."Law enforcement officer" shall mean and refer to any person duly deputized or <br />commissioned by the City or County for the purpose of enforcing the laws, <br />ordinances, and regulations of their respective jurisdictions. <br />2601.030. HOURS AND ACCESS. Regular park hours are open to the public from 6:00 <br />a.m. to 10:00 p.m. No person or vehicle shall remain, stop, use, or be present within the confines <br />of any park at any other time. Other exceptions may be made at the discretion of the City in the <br />case of emergency or when special use permits have been authorized or for other reasons the City <br />may determine necessary or desirable. <br />2601.040. PERMITS. Permits shall be required for the exclusive use of all or portions of <br />specific areas, buildings, and other park facilities; and for conducting special events of a cultural, <br />educational, political, religious or recreational nature; and for a specific exemption from any <br />provision of this Ordinance. Any person, group or association of persons required to obtain a <br />permit shall file an application for such permit with the City Administrator. <br />The grantee of a permit shall be bound by this Ordinance and any applicable regulations in <br />force as though the same were inserted in said permit. <br />The grantee of a permit shall be liable for any loss, damage, or injury sustained by the park <br />or by any person whatever, by reason of the negligence of the person or persons to whom such
