Spooner Park – Little Canada, MN <br />Staff has also received an increased number of phone calls on requests for dedicated pickleball <br />courts within the city as they are currently having to travel outside the city to play on adequate <br />pickleball courts. <br />With the above concerns, staff has been looking at areas and opportunities for dedicated <br />pickleball courts. Along with pickleball being the fastest-growing sport in America, there is also <br />a nationwide issue with the noise the pickleballs make while the game is being played. This has <br />been a source of concern with neighborhoods for many local cities that have added pickleball <br />courts. <br />When looking at potential locations, staff looked at areas that would minimize impacts to <br />neighboring properties and doing cost comparisons of building a new location versus using an <br />existing facility.
