Bridgewood Park – Vadnais Heights, MN - Before
somewhere between $150,000-$250,000 plus lighting. Since we currently do not have pickleball
clubs or leagues it seemed more economical to look at converting an existing facility. Converting
tennis courts to pickleball courts is substantially less costly and has been done in many other
cities. Staff received a preliminary quote for approximately $38,000 to convert one of our
existing tennis/pickleball courts to pickleball only.
The conversion would use the existing footprint of the courts and create six pickleball courts.
The existing court would get resurfaced and a four-foot fence would be added in between the
baselines of the pickleball courts.
Included is an example of a court conversion that was recently completed in Vadnais Heights,
MN.
