MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br /> <br />DECEMBER 7, 2023 <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the City Council of Little Canada, <br />Minnesota was convened on the 7th day of December, 2023 in the Council Chambers of the City <br />Center located at 515 Little Canada Road in said City. <br /> <br />Chair Howarth called the meeting to order at 6:35 p.m. and the following members of the Parks <br />& Recreation Commission were present at roll call: <br /> <br />PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION: Abruzzese, DeLong Miller, Hipp, Horwath, <br />Mui, Schletty, Williams, and Youth Commissioner Churcher. <br /> <br />ALSO PRESENT: Parks & Rec/Community Services Director Bryce Shearen and Recreation <br />Coordinator Sierra Hietala. <br /> <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />Commissioner DeLong Miller made a motion to approve the November 2, 2023 Parks & <br />Recreation Commission minutes as submitted. Commissioner Hipp seconded the motion. The <br />motion was unanimously approved. <br /> <br /> <br />THANK YOU COMMISSIONER ABRUZZESE <br />Councilmember Dave Miller extended appreciation to Commissioner Abruzzese for her two <br />terms, a total of six years, on the Park and Recreation Commission. He reviewed some of the <br />projects and planning that was completed during that time along with the passion that <br />Commissioner Abruzzese had towards the bike racks. He presented a certificate of appreciation <br />to Commissioner Abruzzese for her service to the community. <br /> <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS: COMMISSIONER TERMS AND REAPPOINTMENT PROCESS <br />UPDATE <br />The Parks & Rec Director thanked Commissioner Abruzzese for her service on the Commission. <br />He noted that Commissioners Hipp and DeLong Miller also have expiring terms and noted that <br />both have expressed interest in reappointment. He stated that would leave one vacant seat on the <br />Commission and advised that he did complete an interview for that position tonight. He <br />anticipated that a new member would be appointed to the Commission at the December 20th City <br />Council meeting. <br /> <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS: PARKS MASTER PLAN REPORTING
