MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br /> <br />JUNE 6, 2024 <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the City Council of Little Canada, <br />Minnesota was convened on the 6th day of June, 2024 in the Council Chambers of the City <br />Center located at 515 Little Canada Road in said City. <br /> <br />Chair Howarth called the meeting to order at 6:33 p.m. and the following members of the Parks <br />& Recreation Commission were present at roll call: <br /> <br />PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION: Delong Miller, Hipp, Horwath, Mui (arrived at <br />6:37 p.m.), Owens (arrived at 6:45 p.m.), Schletty, Williams, Churcher. <br /> <br />ALSO PRESENT: Parks and Recreation Director Steve Anderson <br /> <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />Commissioner Hipp made a motion to approve the May 2, 2024 Parks & Recreation Commission <br />minutes as submitted. Commissioner Williams seconded the motion. The motion was <br />unanimously approved. <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS <br /> <br />ART IN THE PARK SUBCOMMITTEE FORMATION <br />The Parks and Recreation Director stated that there was agreement in May to form a <br />subcommittee, noting that ideally three members would be a good size for a subcommittee. <br /> <br />Commissioner Hipp commented that this came forward through engagement and since that time <br />she has been meeting with Commissioner Churcher and have reached out to local students at the <br />Roseville High School Art Club. She stated that the thought is to display some art in the parks <br />within all four quadrants of the community. She stated that she also obtained pricing quotes <br />from a local printer that the City works with. She stated that she and Commissioner Churcher <br />would love to serve on the subcommittee and would welcome another member to implement this <br />program. <br /> <br />Commissioner Mui arrived. <br /> <br />Commissioner Schletty volunteered to join the subcommittee. <br /> <br />PIONEER PARK PLAY NODE PUNCHLIST UPDATE <br />The Parks and Recreation Director stated that a punch list for the project has been created. He <br />noted that the controller for the water feature is supposed to ship this week and then would be <br />installed mid-June. He reviewed the schedule for the other punch list tasks.
