MINUTES <br />PARKS & REC COMMISSION <br />SEPTEMBER 5, 2024 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />6 <br /> <br />Commissioner Delong Miller commented that she would support some type of separation from <br />the new development and Gervais Trail. <br /> <br />Commissioner Hipp referenced the park entrance plantings that were completed, noting that <br />some plants did not survive and asked if there is a warranty period on those plantings. <br /> <br />The Parks and Recreation Director commented that he could have his crew review those <br />locations. <br /> <br />Commissioner Hipp asked if there is a watering plan for the fall for those plants. <br /> <br />The Parks and Recreation Director confirmed that there is a watering plan and although typically <br />watering needs are less in the fall, it may be needed for the next two weeks with the warmer <br />temperatures. <br /> <br />UPDATES <br />The Parks and Recreation Director provided an update on Veteran Memorial Park. He stated that <br />the bubbler system has been replaced multiple times and was again malfunctioning, so it has <br />been turned off.
