TIMELINE <br />Adoption of cannabis registration and zoning requirements must be completed by December 31, <br />2024. The Planning Commission will review the proposed ordinances at their November 14 <br />meeting, and final draft ordinances will come before the City Council on December 4 and on <br />December 18 if needed. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br />Discuss and provide direction to staff on draft city code and zoning code amendments pertaining to <br />cannabis business operations. City staff is specifically requesting direction from the City Council <br />on the following topics: <br /> <br />1. How many retailers or micro/mezzo business with retail endorsements will be allowed? <br />2. Which zoning districts should each type of cannabis business be permitted in? <br />3. Should an Interim Use or Conditional Use Permit be required for any or all cannabis <br />business types? <br />4. Should there be buffer distance requirements? <br />a. If yes, how much buffer distance and from which types of cannabis businesses? <br />5. What should the registration fees be? <br /> <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />• Attachment A - Cannabis Business License Types <br />• Attachment B – Little Canada Buffer Maps – 300’, 500’ & 1000’ buffers around certain land <br />uses <br />• Attachment C – OCM Zoning and Land Use <br /> <br />
