MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br /> LITTLE CANADA, MIf1NESOTA <br /> January 17, 19£30 <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a special meeting of the <br /> Council of the City of Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the <br /> 17th day of January, 1930 in the Council Chambers of the City <br /> Center located at 515 Little Canada Road in said City. <br /> P4ayor Raymond Hanson chaired and called the meeting to order at <br /> 7:45 P. M. <br /> P4EMBERS PRESEiVT: Mayor Mr. Raymond Hanson <br /> Councilman P9r. Robert DeBace <br /> Councilwoman Mrs. Beverly Scalze <br /> ALSO PRESENT: City Clerk Mr. Joseph Chlebeck <br /> Consulting Engineer Mr. Donald Carley <br /> Recording Secretary Mrs. Kathleen Glanzer <br /> MEMBERS ABSENT: Councilman Mr. Michael Fahey <br /> Councilman hir. Roy Nadeau, Jr. <br /> <br /> Upgrade Of The Engineer submitted to the Council a feasibility report for the <br /> <br /> Twin Lake wi<feniny of Twin Lake Road. The estimated costs for widening the <br /> (toad road to 30 feet would be ?71,000.00 with a concrete curb or <br /> $56,160.00 with a bituminous curb. These costs do not include <br /> the cost of easements that may be necessary for the City to obtain. <br /> In order to widen the road to 30 feet, Ca r1ey reported that the <br /> City would need 50 feet of right-of-way. Carley suggested that any <br /> additional right-of-vaay taken for the widening of the road be taken <br /> from the properties on the South side of the road. <br /> Councilman De6ace suggested that perhaps the City could get by with <br /> with a 24 foot wide road instead of the proposed 30 feet. De6ace also <br /> questioned if the neighborhood is willing to pay for the road. De6ace <br /> stated that the Council should have a meeting with the neighborhood and <br /> see vahat they want to do. <br /> Virginia Fisfrer, resident of the Twin Lake Road area, commented that <br /> she would not be willing to give more of her land for the road. <br /> Engineer Carley stated that he would check what existing right-of-way <br /> the City preserit1y has in this area, and see if there was enough for <br /> a 24 foot wide road without the City having to acquire additional <br /> easements. Carley will report back to the Council on this matter. <br /> Thomas Sewer Engineer Carley reported that he will be visiting the Thomas home <br /> Claim shortly to look at the Thomas lift station. Carley will make his <br /> recommendations on the Thomas's claim at the February regular Council <br /> meeting. <br /> Page -1- <br /> <br />
