The Engineer <br /> Damage stated that the City will wait and see if anything developes from <br /> this claim. <br /> Centennial The Enyineer reported that he and Centennial still disagree over <br /> Claim some soil compaction tests. Also Centennial hasn't turned in <br /> For Final copies of their withholding tax forms. The City will hold on <br /> Payment Centennial's final payment until these matters are resolved. <br /> Johnson The Engineer recoimnended 'to the Council that the City pay Johnson <br /> Bros. Brothers their final payment. Carley stated that the only work left <br /> Final for Johnson Brothers to do is about ;100.00 worth of sodding which <br /> Payment they cannot do at this time. <br /> Councilman DeBace stated that he was not sure that Johnson Brothers <br /> has done everything yet. Iie thought there were still some things <br /> they had to do to correct some property damages they caused. DeBace <br /> stated that he and the engineers would check this out and come in <br /> at the February meeting with recommendations on the final payment <br /> to Johnson Brothers. <br /> Montgomery The Montgomery firm is requesting that their retainage held by the <br /> Retainage City be reduced to 5%. The Engineer is recommending approval of this. <br /> The present retainage is 10%, but 5% would be adequate to cover the <br /> work still outstanding. <br /> Mr, DeBace introduced 'the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION N0. £30-1-~7 - REDUCING THE RETAINAGE HELD <br /> 6Y THE CITY AGAINST MONTGOMERY FROM 10% to 5% <br /> The Foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Scalze. <br /> Ayes (3) DeBace, Scalze, Hanson. <br /> Nayes (0). <br /> Resolution declared adopted. <br /> This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. G, Page ?_3. <br /> <br /> Sewer The Engineer reported that i~etro Sewer will be meeting shortly on the <br /> Infiltration subject of sewer infiltration. Mayor Hanson stated that he received a <br /> letter on this subject and it is a problem caused by run-off into the <br /> manholes. Carley stated that a study will be done of the problem. <br /> Correction of the problem will he paid 90% with Federal monies. <br /> Hanson stated that the Metro 4Jaste Control wants the City to study <br /> the problem and investigate alternatives for correction. <br /> Pane <br /> <br />
