<br /> MINUTES <br /> City Council <br /> (Cont'd.) <br /> January 17, 1980 <br /> Garage The Engineer submitted to the Council the contracts to be signed for <br /> Contracts the construction of the City garage. <br /> Sprospy Mrs. Scalze reported that the Sprospy fill permit expired on December <br /> Landfilling 31, 7979. Scalze asked the Council's feeling nn this matter. Scalze <br /> reported that the Ramsey County l~latershed District denied Mr. Sprospy <br /> the permit. The City Clerk reported that Dlr. Sprospy vain be coming <br /> to the February regular Council meeting to request a renewal of his <br /> fi71 permit. <br /> Councilman DeBace reported that Mr. Sprospy has removed the bridge <br /> which ran across the drainage ditch on his property. However, Sprospy <br /> has built a peninsula into the ditch which he should remove as DeBace <br /> felt the dirt could wash into Lake Gervais. DeBace stated that the <br /> Engineer should determine what would be necessary to put the ditch <br /> into the shape it vvas before Sprospy began filling. <br /> Scalze reported she would contact the 6•latershed District regarding <br /> the Sprospy filling situation. <br /> Mr. DeBace introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION P10. BO-1-~~B - ORDERING THE ENGINEER TO <br /> DETERMINE ~.JHAT MR. SPROSPY MUST DO 70 GE7 THE DITCH <br /> ON HIS PROPERTY INTO THE SAME SNAPS TIiAT IT 6~lAS IPJ <br /> BEFORE MR. SPROSPY BEGAN FILLING OPJ HIS PROPERTY <br /> The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Scalze. <br /> Ayes (3) DeBace, Scalze, Hanson. <br /> fdayes (0). <br /> Resolution declared adopted. <br /> This resolution appears in Resolution Book Dlo. 6, Page 24. <br /> <br /> Harrison Px Engineer Carley reported that the City is still waiting for two easements <br /> lcMenemy to be granted before the City can begin work on the D1orrison & P4cMenemy <br /> project. <br /> Dlayor Manson reported that he received a complaint about rats in this <br /> area. Hanson stated that 'the Utility Department should check and see <br /> iF there is a rodent problem in this area. <br /> <br /> Senior Mayor Manson stated that the Council toured the proposed sites for a <br /> Citizen senior citizen housing development on Saturday, January 12. Mayor <br /> <br /> Housing Hanson declared a state of emergency and called a special Council meeting <br /> for 10:00 A. M. on Saturday, January 19, 19II0 during which the Council <br /> and Mr. Nichols will tour the sites suggested for the housing development <br /> so that Mr. Dlichols can give his recommendations to the Council on the <br /> sites suggested. <br /> Pane -3- <br /> <br />
