MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEE'T'ING <br /> PLANNING COPMISSION AND CITY COUNCIL <br /> LITTLE CAPIADA, MINNESOTA <br /> January 24, 1980 <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a special meeting of the <br /> Planning Commission and the Council of the City of Little Canada, <br /> Minnesota was held on the 24th day of January, 1980, in the <br /> Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 Little Canada <br /> Road in said City. <br /> Mayor Raymond Hanson chaired and called the meeting to order at <br /> ~:4o P.M. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> P4Er46ERS PRESENT: Mayor Mr. Raymond Hanson <br /> Councilman Mr. Robert DeBace <br /> Councilman Mr. P4ichael Fahey <br /> Councilwoman Mrs. Beverly Scalze <br /> COUNCIL <br /> MEMBERS ABSENT: Councilman Mr. Roy Nadeau, Jr. <br /> PLANNING <br /> COMMISSION <br /> P4EMBERS PRESENT: P1r. Peter Costa <br /> Mr. Gene Delonais <br /> Mrs. Virginia Fisher <br /> Mr. Joe Vitale, Jr. <br /> Mr. Frank 4Jinieki <br /> PLANNIPG <br /> COMMISSION <br /> MEMBERS ABSENT: Mr. Richard Boss <br /> P4r. Dennis Forsberg <br /> Mr. Ralph Nardini <br /> Mr. Jack Radford <br /> ALSO PRESENT: City Clerk Mr. Joseph Chlebeck <br /> City Attorney Mr. Clayton Parl:s <br /> Recording Secretary Mrs. Kathleen Glanzer <br /> Planner Mr. Brad Nielson <br /> <br /> Senior Mayor Hanson informed the Planning Commission members of the <br /> Citizen status of the City providing housing for the elderly. Mayor Hanson <br /> Housing informed the Planning Commission that the Council has received <br /> information on the Section ,9202 program. The Council and the <br /> senior citizens have looked at prospective sites for this housing <br /> development. The senior citizens are interested in the project <br /> being developed on the Scheier property. Last Saturday the Council <br /> met with Nick Nichols of Northern Federal regarding information <br /> about financing such a project. Last night the Council met with <br /> Stephen Rice of the Community Development Corporation, a non-profit <br /> corporation of the Archdiocese of St. Paul and r4inneapolis, regarding <br /> developing such a project under the Section ;202 program. <br /> Page -1- <br /> <br />
